This patch removes some leftover debug code in the game, improving loading times by 40-50% on Windows and by nearly 3000% on Linux (that's not a typo), game performance will also improve by about 10-15% in CPU-bound scenarios (such as large hordes of rats), and stuttering is reduced in general.
The only supported version of the game is Version 2.14 (it's the latest one, you can get it from GOG).
To install the patch:
- Download
WhMocFix-1.0.zipfrom the assets below and open it - Open the game's installation folder
- Rename
binkw32.dlltobinkw23.dll - Extract
binkw32.dllto the game's folder - Run the game
Please note that your antivirus software might classify this patch as malware since it overwrites the game code, you can safely ignore it.
