Welcome to the Women Who Code Days of Code Challenge 2024

This initiative is fueled by my steadfast commitment to enhancing our coding journey—making it more accessible, enjoyable, and impactful for our community. Recognizing the diverse needs and aspirations of participants, this tracker stands as a versatile companion, fostering a more organized and uplifting space.

  • Register for the event on Hopin
  • Save the sessions dates to your calendar. Find the schedule here.
  • Join WWCode Slack. All communities' slack find here.
  • Introduce yourself in the #code-challenge-community channel on Slack
  • Attend the Opening Ceremony on January 8th at 05:00PM – 06:00PM CET, or watch the recording.
  • (Optional) Attend Interactive Participant Networking Session on January 8th at 06:00PM – 07:00PM CET
  • (Optional) Attend New Year, New Goals: 2024 Goal Setting & Matching Session on January 10th at 05:15PM – 06:00PM CET or watch the recording
  • Fill out and submit the Days of Code Participant Commitment Form (you can find this after registering on Hopin). There you can select your commitment level, and determine the tech stack(s) you want to focus on, number of days: 7, 14, 30, 60, or 100
  • Start coding for the challenge on Monday, January 8, 2024 (or your chosen start date).
  • Consider donating to Women Who Code today! Your donation will help WWCode to continue to create amazing programs, including coding challenges, hackathons, and events.
  • Post on LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
  • Share your progress and interact with the amazing community at least once per week. Share your progress and achievements in the #code-challenge-community channel or spread the word! Share this opportunity with friends and colleagues! Ideas how can be find here.

Weekly goals

  • Connect and follow a WWCode volunteer or member on LinkedIn. Endorse their skills or if you worked on a project together write recommendations!
  • (Optional) Reach out to one woman in tech. Use Hopin or Slack channel to say hi to new network.
  • Send appreciation message to a WWCode volunteer or member.
  • Participate in a community coding challenge or project group. Or ask on slack to do the day or two challenges together.

  • Attend the Machine Learning Challenge Launch on Jan 10 at 06:00PM–06:15PM CET or watch the recording
  • Join the WW Code Emerging Tech Slack (invitation link)

  • Official challenge starts on 17th January, but check the channel everyday because the volunteers will share resources for pre-req or some to-get-ready tasks.
