Travel Salesman Problem

Brute Force - Nearest Neighbor- Minnimum Spanning Tree

Ahmet Can Erol

Min. Spanning tree algoritması, hızlı olmasına rağmen dosya boyutu, orta büyüklükteki boyutları geçtiği an tökezlemeye başlamıştır.

English

In this project, our goal is to solve the Traveling Salesman Problem using Brute Force, Nearest Neighbor, and Minimum Spanning Tree algorithms and determine which algorithmic approach is more suitable for different scenarios.

In general, the Brute Force algorithm can perform well for small datasets, but even a slight increase in the dataset size can significantly slow down the algorithm.

The Nearest Neighbor algorithm generally provides the best speed and produces successful results, regardless of the file size. It is often the most efficient approach in terms of both time and results.

The Minimum Spanning Tree algorithm, while fast, starts to stumble when dealing with larger file sizes, typically medium-sized datasets or beyond.

So, for small datasets, you might find that Brute Force could work adequately. Nearest Neighbor is a reliable choice for datasets of varying sizes and can provide good results quickly. However, for larger datasets, you might want to consider other, more scalable approaches.
