• This Django project is designed to teach you basics of Backend Development with Django. The Project is a Website where Users(Software Developers) can signup, share there skillsets and projects, over there profile, and get reviews from other developers. They can also communicate via messages as well.

Getting Started

• To set up the project on your local machine, follow these instructions:

Prerequisites

• Before you begin, make sure you have the following installed:

  • Python [3.11.3]
  • Django [4.1.7]

Installation

• Clone the repository to your local machine:

  git clone https://github.com/yourusername/django-project.git

• Navigate to the project directory:

  cd django-tutorial

• Create a virtual environment (optional but recommended):

  python -m venv venv

• Activate the virtual environment:

  • On Windows:

    venv\Scripts\activate

  • On Mac and Linux

    source venv/bin/activate

• Move to the folder, where requirements.txt file is present, and run:

  pip install -r requirements.txt

• Run database migrations:

  python manage.py makemigrations

  python manage.py migrate

• Start the development Server:

  python manage.py runserver

• Access the application in your web browser at http://localhost:8000/
