I don't think that this is still true, in the docs the URL is correct: https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api/siteverify, also with .net the URL doesn't work, so no need to merge |

As by Google's specs, the domain name needs to be changed to www.recaptcha.net for global usage, in particular China.
