things that we strongly believe everyone in the group (and that is interested in our game) should play and has a big influence on our project.
- Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon: for the vibes, humour and visual coolness.
- Super Smash Bros Melee: for having such an incredibly deep movement system.
- Super Mario 64: the eternal 3d platformer, and what started some experiments in 3d movement feel.
- [fr0g] clan official server 24/7 zk map (for stranger): for the chaotic non design route setting level design. And interesting use of strafe mechanics.
- New Froggington On-Leash Recreation Area (aka Dog Park): for the realization that its possible to make a multiplayer game in a short time. for the cool sound effects (mickey mousing). for the open ended playground gameness.
- Red Desert Render: for the open procedural world online walking sim vibes. for the janky edge of the world visuals. for the becoming a pillar to show your location. for the fun rolling down a mounting mountain mechanic. for the press a button to teleport to a random player.
- Dondgynns Auv Ye Wyrdd: for the incredible cool UI and funny character dialogues
- Magic Wand: for the one liner character dialogues and the idea of a videogame character
- Harold Rebord for the vibed in a game that you can play on the 3ds!
- Juice Galaxy for the cool open world. the sick intro. and most important of all, delicious physics based movement.
- Walky.space: for early inspiration as a minimal multiplayer space, and collagey image vibes.
- oMoMA: for being a temporary event online space, and inspiration as small multiplayer space
- bitsy zone: for being an online hangout space with presence
- Harold Reborn: for being a very recent game for the 3ds, with inspiring graphics, animations and movement.
- kaizo marios (in particular, Super Sonic Saves the World World, Luminescent and Mario and Luigi go to White Castle), for exploring the depth of a movement system, for playing with flow, for making mut constantly think if there should be (2d) platformers other than mario hacks. for the fact that self serving communities and streamers make incredible games.
- Andrew Yoder - Observations on an Ice Rink: for a very good story that we didn't need to write.
- A Geographer's Guide to Building Game Worlds: for the desire to make a world map
- Broken Games: for the important reminder that games are beautiful, broken ones included.
- How to beat Dark Souls 3 without Walking: for showing us how far people can go with playing a game their own way. for showing incredible movement system in videogames found on the margin of bugs and glitches.
