Hello.
I need to share the printers with DNSSD but without the hostname.
Instead of registering the service like this:
PrinterName @ HostName
register it like this:
PrinterName
I couldn't find a way to do that currently with CUPS 2.2.10.
Thanks!!!

Indeed, there is no way to do this at present.

The other way around could be useful for my situation: having cups-browsed rename the printers before adding them.
I could use the Cluster option of cups-browsed but I don't know a way to do that for all printers without specifying it one by one.
If you know of a way without recurring to the deprecated CUPS protocol let me know please.
Again: thanks a lot!!!

Well, cups-browsed isn't part of CUPS - the OpenPrinting group's cups-filters project manages that bit of Linux...

Ok, reported it to them here: OpenPrinting/cups-filters#99
Thanks!
