Hey guys, maybe I needed to dig deeper for this feature, but this hack helped me a lot to clean up my local repo.

Thank you for this. Worked as described for me. I mainly wanted to use git-sweep to clean up my local branches. My remote and local branches are now all cleaned up!

@zane-techempower great to hear it helped :) really hope they can merge it, even if they don't maintain repo anymore.

@robmadole can you please take 5 second look on this and merge this PR? It's just a README update.
