What is A/S-WSN?

The A/S-WSN is a modular open-source sensor network (WSN) for research. The current version uses a combination of Arduino compatible microcontrollers and XBee radio modules. An overview of the WSN is given here. Even though we use the WSN for research in the domain of building energy assessments, we encourage you to use it in other domains as well. Due to the inherent modularity, modifications to the WSN should be simple, e.g., new sensor modules can be added, or the mode of communication can be altered by modifying the main modules.

Instructions

All needed instructions should be contained in this wiki. However, the current instructions are not yet tested. Therefore, do not hesitate to contact us in case of missing or ambiguous information. In the sidebar, you will find instructions for hardware assembly, loading of firmware, hints for the deployment of the WSN, and links to tutorials for required skills.
