Sometimes when working in prose, or just general text in atom, i want to keep scrolling my window.

Would it be possible to scroll until the very last line of text i have is at the top of my window?

There is a package called scroll-past-end that offers exactly this feature.

I think this behavior or something like it should probably be in core. Not having any bounce or leeway at all at the bottom of a scrollview feels off in OSX. Not sure about Windows tho.

It would definitely feel weird on Windows.

I agree with the leeway idea, to be able to go past the end up until the last line of text hits the ceiling, adds a feeling of freedom to in-file navigation.

However, I'm not sure how convenient this would be, given that you would have to dynamically add and remove lines as the scrolling happens. Otherwise you end up adding a bunch of lines at the end of every file by default for no real reason.

There is now an editor option. See #3619
