Following some tips from here: http://www.daveoncode.com/2013/09/23/effective-tdd-tricks-to-speed-up-django-tests-up-to-10x-faster/

Before:

Ran 191 tests in 78.040s

After:

Ran 191 tests in 83.683s

Coverage remained the same at 91.51% when pulling 26e86de on faster-tests into 021ba11 on master.
