Sorry for removed template, but what is project status? Abandoned? We want upgrade plugin for babel-minify, but looks here a lot of issues and no updates/fixes. Is it worth spending time?

Seems to be abandoned since last year, as far as I can tell. There have been a few comments from potential contributors about giving up waiting, and switching to Terser.

It seems to compress better, too — especially given the various optimisations that need disabling for babel/minify to give anything close to correct output.

A shame, given the integration with the Babel framework remains appealing if some of the compression and compliance issues can be ironed out.

A shame if this is really dead, the last publish was 5 months ago

Terser is great, but babel-minify has its pluses too.

I still use at least a couple of the transforms (they are cool for even better pre-terser optimizations) and don't have any problems except #973
