HTML Content Extractor

HTML Content Extractor is a simple web application created with Streamlit. It allows you to enter a URL, fetch and process the HTML content from the Google web cache, and download the modified HTML content. This tool is helpful when you want to extract and clean HTML content for various purposes. It also allows you to read Medium's articles without being blocked by a "member-only" paywall.

How to Use

  1. Open Here to access the website.
  2. Enter the URL you want to extract HTML content from.
  3. Click the "Fetch and Process HTML" button.
  4. The HTML content will be displayed when you click "Show Medium Content".
  5. Click the "Download HTML" button to save the HTML file.

Getting Started

To run this Streamlit app locally, follow these steps:

  1. Clone this GitHub repository to your local machine:

    git clone https://github.com/bayhaqy/HTML-Content-Extractor.git
  2. Navigate to the project directory:

    cd HTML-Content-Extractor
  3. Install the required Python packages:

    pip install -r requirements.txt
  4. Run the Streamlit app:

    streamlit run app.py

To run this Streamlit app on Streamlit.io, follow these steps:

  1. Open Here.
  2. Choose the option for Fullscreen.
  3. Click "Fork this app".
  4. Adjust for "App URL".
  5. Click "Fork" to start the process.
  6. Open the URL as you adjust.

Dependencies

This project uses the following Python packages:

  • Streamlit
  • BeautifulSoup
  • requests

You can install these dependencies using pip by running pip install -r requirements.txt.
