Summer Undergrad Research Experience (SURE) Project

Overview

This repository contains work from the the Summer of 2018 during the SURE at Carnegie Mellon University.


This repository presents work in answering the question:

Do certain country features predict if a trafficked individual is exploited for labour?

With country features of interesting being:

  • Migration Patterns
  • Country Features
    • Organized Crime metric, Gender Equity metric
    • State Department Tiers

This question was answer using data from a variety of sources include the Counter-Trafficking Data Collaborative which provided a dataset that contained individual recording of individuals that were trafficked.
