Idea is for a talk series presenting n FP (non-Haskell) languages, where n could be but doesn't necessarily have to be 7. A good opportunity for new speakers to present on languages they know or are learning, and which are less familiar to the
BFPG crowd. We should break this into sub-issues as plans solidify.

Everything here would be great. If nix is covered, I'd prefer it to focus on the language - we've had a few "here's nix and here's how it works" talks in the past, focusing on the package manager.

I would be interested in a Javascript/Typescript talk as part of this - what's the current state of FP in that world?

@endgame I think we've had enough Nix content in recent years that we should exclude it from the series. @gwils @peddie thanks, I'll add your suggestions.

Nix-the-language-and-its-idioms, not nix-the-package-manager, but sure.

Nix: it's an operating system, a package manager, an untyped lazy functional programming language, a floor wax, and a dessert topping!

@endgame we definitely had at least one nix-the-language talk.
