There has been a case that after updating bibledit-cloud, it seems not to update the html content.

  • Investigate whether an apt update does restart the service for Ubuntu.
  • Same as above for Debian Cloud.

The purpose is that after update, it should restart the service right away, and not wait till the 24 hours have expired.

  • Check also whether the server restarts every 24 hours still, as it should do, on Ubuntu.
  • Same as above for Debian Cloud.
  • Same as above for installation from source.

All items listed above were tested.

The findings are as follows, for Ubuntu, Debian, and install from source.

  1. apt update restarts the bibledit-cloud service and copies data again into place, hence the html files will be updated.
  2. The server restarts every 24 hours on its own.
