Local file sync for external handling

Hello! I understand if it's out of scope, but it would be nice if it could be synced to and from a local file/folder on the system to be synced with an external application like Syncthing

It could also be used as a type of local-demo to make sure it'll work with any apps

Hey,

ICSx5 can read ics files from storage. I am not sure it would work, but you might give that a try?

Could you help me find the option to? I couldn't find it

1. Install and open ICSx5

2. Tap the plus "'+" in the lower right corner to add a calendar

3. Tap on "Pick file", written in blue color - see the picture

4. Tap the arrow top right corner twice

You can see the file URL starts with content:// as scheme. The file should get synced periodically unless you have set it to "Only manually".

Ah, you're mistaken. I'm looking for contact file synchronization, not calendar file synchronization.

Ah, sorry for that. Should have made the connection when you mentioned DecSync. Yeah, then ICSx5 will not be of much help indeed.

To be fair, I should've also made the ics connection to calendars as well 😅
