Inserting data in a form not all field accept data #128
Comments
What do you mean by "doesn't accept data"? The field looks like disabled so that you can not type anything in there? Anyway, I'm afraid we will not be able to help you until we can reproduce it locally so please find a different link were it shows the same symptoms so that you could give it to us.. |
Recently, (two day ago), I have installed the last version of FF 38.2.1 and I have retested this document, by now the problem isn't resolved but now I can insert data in this field using this method:
|
please test with Firefox 45 as well. |
I have upgraded my FF to 45.5 beta 8 version and I've retested this issue. |
as we can hardly test with your bankaccount, please find a free available form which behaves the same. As without a running example it's like finding a needle in the haystack |
I attach 2 file: 2017-PAGINA.CSS that contain the source of the page in the 2nd file: 2017-PAGE-VIEW.JPG.
|
Unfortunately as we have no idea how to reproduce it will be hard to fix. We really need a way to reproduce. |
This is due to a misinterpreted attribute of this numeric field, I'm a older CICS programmer and say that every field have a proper attribute and I think that every field in a form have is attribute. I don't now how this attribute are formed and interpreted, in a HTML5 form, by firefox and so I don't have any possibility to aid you in this work. |
Can the condition you describe be duplicated using the browser HTML5 test input form located at http://opensource.perlig.de/tdi/examples/html5form.html ? If so, can you test using the same FF build on another platform? There are a number of new type attributes for the input element using HTML5, and not all browsers implement them (or implement them correctly) - apparently. What we need is a consistent test harness, and a single banking site is not going to work for us, so we need to find another commonly accessible site where we can fairly compare and test. Thanks! |
I have tested the form indicated by Lewis R, but all field are editable, no numeric field of the type of my Bank form. |
You might get some more info by setting browser.formfill.debug to true
in about:config and see if you spot any warnings or infos in either the
browser or web console under Tools-->Web Developer
|
I have setup to true the setting you have indicated, and retested this page many time, but nothing happen, opening the web console is impossible to debug because in a matter of second it's filled with hundreds of messages, and I'm unable to analyze it. |
I have installed the last release 45.9.0-3.oc00.pentium4.7z of FF for RPM/YUM but this bug is |
Using my banking transaction to fill a form with data, one or more field does not accept data.
I have to use Firefox 39.0 under VBOX 1.6.2 for complete the job.
I insert the image of this form with the error specified, image: bonifico.jpg
