Mozilla for OS/2 is a project on porting the series of Mozilla products to the OS/2, ArcaOS and eComStation operating systems.

The main focus of this project is to make recent versions of the Firefox browser available for OS/2. The current project target is Firefox 45 ESR (where ESR stands for extended support release). There are lots of major structural changes in the Mozilla code base since version 31 (the last one that runs on OS/2 at the present time). Version 17 ESR was chosen as a starting point (in 2013 when we started) to port all these pending changes to OS/2 because it incorporates most of these changes without being overloaded with dozens of small new features that would otherwise require additional porting time.

On 16.04.2014, a dev snapshot of Firefox 24.3.0 for OS/2 is built and running. A public version is to be released in a few days (after having passed internal testing and bug fixing).
