Note that the times given here can't be guaranteed. I downloaded all updates over the internet, where bandwidth is not a constant, so download times may vary for each test. Additionally, your Windows installation may have different components or drivers, and that could change the number of updates required.

  • Tests 4/6/2015 (PSWU 1.1):
  • Win2012r2, success in 1 pass, 50 minutes, 1 reboot.
    • Pass 1: 40 updates in 50 minutes, reboot.
  • Win8.1, success in 2 passes, 1:52 hours:minutes, 2 reboots.
    • Pass 1: 87 updates in 1:33 hours:minutes, reboot.
    • Pass 2: 4 updates in 10 minutes. reboot.
  • Win7, success in 2 passes, 5:09 hours:minutes, 2 reboots.
    • Pass 1: 191 updates in 4:27 hours:minutes, reboot.
    • Pass 2: 26 updates in 36 minutes, reboot.
  • Tests in March 2015 (PSWU 1.3)
    • Note that I have cleanly documented each test client build here
  • Win7 Ultimate
