JHU has definitely stopped maintaining recovered cases as announced here CSSEGISandData/COVID-19#4465

Except if we can find an easy way to complement it from other sources, we should remove the recovered and active cases

I think you already mentioned the best move, and it depends on the time you have available and want to invest in this unpaid sparetime project (I presume).

Not so much time: remove it
Potentially enough time: consider moving to a different data source (In that case, might I bring up issue-50 again? 😀 )

I took a look at the alternate source, but it does not provide recovered cases either, and it would require me quite some time to use it as the data is not very consistent from one country to another: for some places there's data for every day, for others every week, for others only some fields, etc. This would complexify a lot my app, so I guess I will keep using JHU and just drop those two fields, sorry

That's sad. That was really helpful.
But thanks a lot for looking into it!
