Adding something like this:

mod "puppetlabs-vcsrepo", :git => 'git://github.com/puppetlabs/puppetlabs-vcsrepo.git'

Into the Puppetfile (which is valid as far as librarian-puppet is concerned), causes Boxen to throw an error:

sh: /opt/boxen/repo/vendor/puppet/source/2c81045b533150e8963384a2e812f57e9bfde134.tar.gz: No such file or directory

👍 I spent time trying to make this work today, but had no luck. I can work around it by forking and tagging, but it'd be nice if we didn't have to.
