Regarding your comment: "If I go to portal.properties, I would not expect to see system.properties, but only the portal ones". That makes sense, but in this case you're not seeing system properties, I can unstertand the confuse because the variable name was 'systemProperties' but it is related to company 0 properties, so I renamed it to avoid misunderstandings.
