Variants

• Will Static notification be treated as its own variant? (Yes)

Close icon

• Do static notifications ever get a close icon? (No)

Placement

• Banner: Can static notifications span the full page in a banner form if it lives at a more global page level? (Yes)
• Inline: Can static notifications only span a certain amount of columns if it is inline with other information, like within a section of a page, or in a modal, etc.? (Yes)
• Toast: Do static notifications not apply to toasts? (No, they do not apply to toasts.)

Our current variants

• If the above is true, does this mean that our current Inline, Toast, and Actionable variants always need to display a close icon? To differentiate them from Static notifications? Just thinking about this for our website docs and also what we should offer in the Figma kit.

Experimental

• When moving out of the "Experimental" section, will it go directly into the "Stable" section?
