Magic circle metronome

The circle metronome is totally rewritten to become a magic rhythm tool. Now we have two independent loops with variable meters - both the top and bottom numbers are editable on the fly. You can subdivide a measure into up to 32 beats and take up to 32 of them. It makes this metronome an incredible tool to build complex beat patterns.

There are 5 metronome sounds to choose from. And the sound performance is great even for up to 500 BPM available to dial. It could run faster, but imagine dividing it by even 16 steps... I think the limit is reasonable.

Then we have a tap-tempo button, an option to detect tempo from audio source and also a very easy to use central circle dial to change the BPM by hand. Multiply or divide it by two or increment it by one unit at a time with buttons around. Or simply drag the number left-to-right or bottom-to-top to increase the BPM.

You can set the volume and panning for each of the loops independently. It's very useful in creating inticate polyrhythm patterns. PRO-TIP: double click the volume slider to quickly switch it between 0 and 0.75. Double click panning controls to switch pan between 0 and +-0.5.

This tool was one of the first thing to be built when the new version of Chromatone started and now it's fully rebuilt with new powers and understanding. Have fun playing with it!

Any chroma now can have a profile to explore. It includes a circle of notes, a title, piano keys, chroma row and a waveform visualization. And also some midi parsing started – visualizing the .mid files is tested and works fine. MIDI-recording is found - yet needs to be implemented later.

Now the site is hosted on GitHub pages and is very fast and much more reliable. Have fun!

With Meyda lib we are getting chroma pitch class contents for any incoming audio. That makes the system complete – you analyze any song, find the notes there, then play them with visual feedback either on acoustic instrument with pitch roll or with a midi instument win midi-monitor. Need to add some more research info, like the harmonics simulator and the sound wave simulator in order to get to the v1.0. Soon!
