Use this template to plan, prepare, and execute usability tests–helps the whole team stay on the same page and glean valuable observations.

Preparation

• Storyboard and write test plan, share with all team

Prepare prototype

• Design prototype and develop content, review with each team as well as dev
• Request content translations

Implement/build

• Review implementation and make revisions

Recruiting & Scheduling

• Review test approach and etiquette with team and participating partners

Test prep

• Build test kits: consent form, stickies and sharpies, video camera, audio recorder, etc

Conduct usability tests

Analyze test data and summarize learnings or insights. Determine how observations inform next test?
