@seamuslee001 I ended up creating a separate class and also a separate APCucacheTest.php file. I figured it was cleaner and followed the same pattern as "memcache" vs "memcached" classes.

This seems fine to me and the E2E tests have now passed and confirm that they are testing apcu

I just set define('CIVICRM_DB_CACHE_CLASS', 'APCucache'); - mind the u - and it works just fine.

The documentation https://docs.civicrm.org/sysadmin/en/latest/setup/cache/ doesn't mention it yet. I made an educated guess looking at CRM/Utils/Cache/
