Arguments without names?

Hello,

I'd like to implement the ability to do something like this:

grep filename
grep -R filename
grep filename -R

i.e.:

• Exactly one argument with no name (the filename)
• Other arguments can appear before or after the filename

I know about last = true but that annoyingly requires a -- and doesn't let me have arguments after the filename. Is what I'm trying to do possible?

Sounds like you are looking for a positional argument which last = true arguments would be a subset of. Have you given these a try?

That's exactly what I needed. I thought positional arguments were just another name for the last = true thing. Didn't realize I could do one without the other.
