When I export a heatmap to svg or png, I get the entire heatmap information including row annotations. However, when I export to PDF the row annotations are missing. The row annotation header, eg Gene is visible, but not the actual annotation (gene symbol).

The exported PDF is set to "fit to window".

Hi, you need to increase the heat map element size before exporting. Text is not rendered in the pdf when "fit to window" is selected.

Can you increase the element size from the GUI? Are you referring to the heatmap row size, or do you set the heatmap element size in json object (which I am unfamiliar with).

I'm really sorry to keep bugging you, but after watching the video snippet I exported to PDF after "Fit to Window", "Set to 100%", and after "zooming in". None of these options exported the row text to PDF format. The zoom in output showed the column annotations larger, but the row annotations are blank.

Workaround is to open the svg or pdf in Inkscape (https://inkscape.org/) and save a copy as pdf. Be sure to select "Embed Fonts" in "Text output options" (the default in Inkscape version 1.1)
