On behalf of the LitmusChaos maintainers group, I would like to propose LitmusChaos to become a graduated CNCF project. As you can see in the proposal document in this PR, we believe Litmus is ready to Graduate.

What is LitmusChaos?

LitmusChaos is an open source Chaos Engineering platform that enables teams to identify weaknesses & potential outages in infrastructures by inducing chaos tests in a controlled way. Developers & SREs can practice Chaos Engineering with LitmusChaos as it is easy to use, based on modern Chaos Engineering principles & community collaborated.

Why are we ready to graduate?

Hundreds of organisations including several end-user organisations like DeliveryHero, Adidas, FIS, FlipKart, and iFood use LitmusChaos today for the verification of their cloud native applications resilience. The project enjoys a slack community of more than 2000 users with active collaboration. Litmus was initially accepted into the CNCF sandbox in June 2020 and progressed to incubation by January 2022. Since the promotion to incubation, the project has grown considerably and made significant strides across areas (adoption, contributions, major releases, integrations and security). In the light of these achievements, on behalf of the community and maintainer group, we recommend the project is now ready for graduation.

Note to the community

If you are using Litmus and not yet a formal adopter at adopters.md, please add yourself to the list.
If you Like the Litmus project, we would ❤️ to see your support of this graduation proposal through supportive reactions (like 👍, ❤️, or 🚀).

I am so happy to be at this moment because the LitmusChaos community helps me to be from an open-source enthusiast to a maintainer.

Thanks to the LitmusChaos community for the warm welcome and for supporting me to contribute continuously. I started as an LFX mentee in LitmusChaos community and now I am working as an LFX Mentor and developing core features as an open-source maintainer. I strongly support LitmusChaos's Graduation proposal 🚀.

It's nice to see Litmus ascend to the final step of the CNCF ladder 🚀. Kudos to all the hard work you all put in to get to this stage 😄. I've witnessed the project's growth from its early stages, and over time, it has become the most mature and widely adopted project in the Open- Source Chaos Engineering space. We have been utilizing it to deliver a Chaos Engineering Platform throughout the entire organization. My interactions with the Litmus Core Team have been nothing short of delightful; their openness to new ideas and swift responses to bug reports and PRs have been commendable. I'm genuinely excited about what the future holds for both the project and it's community :)

As a user of Litmus Chaos Engineering, I fully endorse its inclusion as a CNCF project. Litmus has proven indispensable in fortifying Kubernetes infrastructures like ours, enhancing resilience and reliability. Its integration into the CNCF ecosystem will accelerate adoption, foster collaboration, and drive innovation in cloud-native operations. Kudos to the contributors and CNCF TOC for recognizing Litmus's importance!
