Map state change consistency

After clicking around on a few variables, the maps start to update asynchronously.

Check if the Leaflet.Sync plugin is robust enough to handle the task, or if the error is occurring with another dependency.

This appears to be because the JSON columns aren't always mapped to existing UI routes and visa-versa. I'll try to get these in sync.
