The linux-ci builds produce a number of deprecation warnings, most of which are about node.js and easy to resolve. Similar warnings for the windows-ci builds.
The linux-ci also uses the deprecated OS ubuntu-18.04 and macos-10.15 in its build matrix. These were updated to ubuntu-22.04 and macos-12 with gcc-11 and gcc-12. See also Discussion #588.
