Need to create a BOM

My last attempt to generate a usable BOM and match Digikey/Mouser/Jameco/etc. components failed miserably or ended in an outrageous cost. Mostly, it's due of my lack of skills in picking components.

I ca really use some expert eye to figure out the best materials for the job, considering this should lead to a first test board, not to a finished product.
