User Guide
Vertaal is able to manage multiple projects. You can be a member of as many projects and teams you want.
In the Project List, you can access directly to the available Releases.
In the Release view, you are presented with a list of all available languages for the selected project. This list it's ordered by status.
In the file list header, there is a box with the available components to filter by. Select the desired ones and click filter. You cannot hide all components.
There is also a Hide fully translated files option. Activating it will hide all files with no fuzzy or untranslated messages.
- : view the file.
- : download the latest version from the repository.
- : edit the file directly on the web. This is a rudimentary edit mechanism and is intended for users with strong knowledge on the .po file format. Once saved, the file is added automatically to the submission queue.
- : the file is unlocked. You can lock the file by clicking this button.
- : the file is locked. You can do nothing here.
- : the file is locked and it belongs to you. You can unlock the file by clicking this button.
- : assign yourself as translator or reviewer (you cannot be both).
- : remove the current assignation (this action is reserved for coordinators only).
The icon next to the file name, indicate that this file has a pending submission in the queue. If you own the lock, it will be automatically removed once the file is committed (sent to the repository). You can still edit the file. There is currently no way to cancel an uploaded file, you need to contact your team coordinator in this case.
- : mark the file as translated.
- : mark the file as reviewed.
- : mark the file as completed.
The system can set automatically the file status to unreviewed or translated when necessary
To view the file history, click on the file name.
You need to own a lock on the file to upload it. Browse for the desired file (only .po files are supported. It can be packaged in a tar or tgz archive) and click upload.
The file is checked for possible errors:
Fix them and upload the file again.
This file is added to a queue and the team coordinator is notified about this.
This lets you have your preferred pages at hand, no matter where you are.
Every page headers (if available) contains to icons, to add the current page to your bookmarks and to remove it. The bookmarks are displayed in the Bookmark menu and on your Profile, where you can also removed them.
In your profile page, besides of modifying your preferences you can access to a set of informative items about your movements on the site, and also manage your bookmarks.
