Travel On - Travel Tracker

Mod 2 FE Final Project

Overview

Please make sure your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright position becuase we're getting ready to travel. This application allows a user to log on with their credentials and view pending, upcoming, and past trips as well as book brand new adventures. The ever-changing destination list allows the user to take a sneak peak of where they are traveling and the easy-to-navigate calendar and traveler quanity allows a user to plan a trip for themselves or all their friends! Get on to traveling with Travel On.

Install + Setup

• Clone the Repo and API database to your local machine
• Run 'npm install'
• Run 'npm start' in both the api directory AS WELL AS the travel tracker directory to run the website

• Creating a project with a unified and pleasing UI/UX that consists of hand-drawn graphics, smooth-scroll to page sections, and multiple media queries
• Adding logic to calendars adjust in real-time
• Creating a responsive dropdown menu that displays different pictures based on what item is selected
• Implementing OOP to drive the design of the application and code

Challenges + Future Add-ons

• Organizing the class structure for a project of this scale
• Displaying a large volume of information on multiple cohesive layouts on user's different devices
• An administrative view to edit trips and add destinations
