David Morais edited this page Jun 22, 2022 · 2 revisions

Download & Install

Kuro currently supports the following formats

  • rpm
  • pacpam
  • deb
  • snap
  • AppImage

Releases

The easiest method is to head over to the Releases Page and download the package that works on your Linux distribution.

Snapcraft

Kuro can be found on the Snap Store. If you have Snap installed on your system you can install Kuro by running

sudo snap install kuro-desktop --edge

AUR

Kuro can be found in AUR (Thanks to Reverier-Xu). To install Kuro, you can run

paru -S kuro-appimage

or

yay -S kuro-appimage

Flatpak 🔜

Soon Kuro will support the flatpak format

Other

Feel free to open a PR or to setup Kuro's upstream for any package manager/repository you wish. Currently Kuro works in most Linux distributions and I have no plans to add more formats.

Windows & MacOS

Since Microsoft has official Desktop clients for Windows & MacOS, there are no plans in the near future to build Kuro for these platforms.
