Parking

Parking near the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is a definite option for those willing to make the drive and pay parking fees.

  • ($10/day) Closest to the USPTO, directly attached to the main building by multi-level walkways on both the east and west side are multi-story parking garages that are open to the public. While you will be competing with USPTO staff for spaces during the weekdays, there's still plenty of space and they each max out at $10 a day. There are also electric car charging spots (110v) on the ground level of the west garage that are free to plug in to, free of charge.
  • ($0/day) Parking for those who will be staying at the Holiday Inn, utilizing our conference block package, will get free parking there, and would only be a half-mile and very direct walk to the USPTO along Eisenhower avenue.
  • ($7/day) There is a parking garage next to the AMC 22 Hoffman Center Cinemas. You can take various back streets or walk down Swamp Fox Road to Eisenhower Avenue to reach the USPTO. This facility also will allow you to charge an electric out of a handful of standard 110v wall sockets, free of charge. Look for them in the corners of the garage at levels 2 and up.
  • ($4.85/day) There are 3,617 parking spaces at the Huntington Metro station for $4.85 a day, though you'll have to get a metro card first. These are $5.00 plus the amount of funding you put on the card at the automated kiosks. From there you'll spend a little more of that metro card funding to train from Huntington Station one stop north to the Eisenhower Station, and walk a little less than half a mile to the USPTO.
  • ($4.85/day) There are another 5,069 parking spaces at the Franconia-Springfield Metro station as well, though in that case you'll have to get on the train and take two long stops to the King Street Station, and walk roughly two or three blocks south to the USPTO.
