1) Introduction

We want to create a District that is a homage to Pixel Art, while embracing future tech in a way that will be groundbreaking for DCL. The truth is we, who are apart of Alvy are strong futurists with understanding of the present and with undying of affection for the past. Pixel Art and Voxel art are going through a revolution, and we believe Alvy will be the home for anyone with an Appreciation for the art form. The Experience provided in Alvy from player mechanics to aesthetic will be unlike any other in DCL.

Alvy Ray Smith, Marcus Perrson, Ray Kurzweil
Architecture: Sky city(Flash Gordan), Cloud City(Star Wars), Metro City( Astro Boy), Yggdrasil_City (SAO).
Styling: Compound, Hyperlight Drifter, The Last Night, Fez, Minecraft (Ather, Skybox, Super Earth)
Player Mechanics: Echo Arena, Skyfront, Sparc

2) Alvy Setting

2.1) Alvy is an district with a City Built on Floating Islands above a Post Apocalyptic Desert floor. The Floor will be used for mostly PVE and PvP, whether that might be dungeon quests, or pvp races flying above and below the gardens. The gardens will be residences and social spaces. Below there will images of both floating cities and and Post Apocalyptic deserts.
2.2) After we complete our team we will actively work on District Planning.

3. Player Experience:

Locomotion: Everyone in Alvy will Fly, Walking and Teleporting for player movement will not exist for players or NPC. Snap turning, and continuous rotation via thumbstick, as well as turning based of hmd tracking. Most social spaces and interactions will be built with this in mind.

Flying will be based on the direction in which wrists are pointed(superman) and boosting based on the direction the player is looking. There are 2 vr games with this type of locomotion currently and after the initial learning curve is more intuitive than teleporting and using the thumbstick to walk. Players must be able to push and pull off the environment.

3.1) Player Protections: are a must, Harassment in Vr will be a serious problem if not planned for in the beginning. Players must be able to mute, block, and visually cube players along with a reporting system for those who repeatedly abusing others.

3.2) Communications: Gesture based Tablet will contain the ability to contact other players in Alvy, which should include invites, messages, storage, etc..

4. Cost of the Project:

It isn’t lost on me on how expensive building in game vr can and will be, although I plan on dedicating most of my time on learning A-frame so that I can be one of the main people who is helping build Alvy. As of right now I plan on starting small with Alvy and expanding as my abilities and the team grows. With that said I am hoping that the districts are friendly and build relationship creating cross district experience.

5. Monetization:

The Aesthetic we are immediately separating ourselves from the rest of the metaverse, for those with homes they will be able to purchase in game items in Alvy that will be instantly distinguishable from the rest of the metaverse. The purpose of monetization is to insure its future and drive the community forward. As the Founders and Early community member are going to have the most input on the direction of Alvy, and we must maintain transparency when dealing with with our community.

  • IRL Subscription Based Loot Boxes - Containing DCL related items on a quarterly basis
    Stickers, T-shirts, Toys, Flip books, Posters.

  • In-game Stores that sell IRL items

  • Membership (To be discuss)

  • Curated and Strict Advertising in Alvy

  • Games

  • Rare in world Items

  1. Early Contributors and Founders:
    Currently There is no Promise on ROI, we are hoping a-lot of different technologies become useable at the same time. What I can provide is a open forum of ideas that we can discus on making sure early investors receive a return on investment. This is a Healthy conversation to have but one for those in have Avly's best interest in mind. We are open to all ideas currently, and including a proper model of governance aswell.

7. Why Pixel Art:

Because its awesome in 2D games and the aesthetic it provides in Vr is insane.
