As mentioned in #3722 palantir's python-language-server is no longer maintained.
The alternative is to use the community-driven https://github.com/python-lsp/python-lsp-server.

Thanks for the changes. Looking good.

I would have preferred if this PR left pyls untouched... we never know if someone is still stuck using it for some reason. Given the way pyls development got locked and pylsp was born due to that I think most developers must be already in pylsp or moving to it so will approve this.
