I'd like to close this without actually implementing the GUI itself. Some notes on the current situtation:

  • when we make the DevAssistant Package Index public, we'll provide assistants that'll kickstart initial project for writing assistants
  • assistants are code and should be developed as code, meaning people should use their editors/IDEs; we certainly don't want to implement an IDE

I suggest just implementing the assistants for kickstarting initial assistants project structure as mentioned in the first point. The actual development of assistants should be delegated to users preferred editor/IDE. Therefore I'd like to suggest removing the initial work on this from our repo. @phracek I know you've put some amount of work into this, so I first want to clarify that you're ok with this. If not, please provide some arguments why/how we should work on this feature. Thanks.

Yeah, sure remove that GUI. It should be definitelly either reimplemented or move to users.
