This PR updates the Panel documentation to demonstrate that it is in fact possible to make efficient, in-place updates of a map instead of replacing a map in its entirety.

This looks amazing! Thank you!

Ideally we would remove the _height parameter... I assume you tested that and it didn't work without it? Happy to merge and not block on that, but maybe with a comment somewhere saying that the _height parameter is subject to change in the future.
