Some of us may have a bajillion passwords locked up in another password manager and may not want to spend a whole day manually migrating things over.

1Password 4 also has export options to CSV or tab delimited file. Here's an example of the output with a single dummy record (I left one field blank to show formatting):

title,notes,username,password,url
"Title Example","","test@someaddress.com","kE6t@fd","https://www.google.com"

+1 for this. I'd like to use this on mobile, but need a way to import my data from another manager (LP).

This is a critical feature for sure.

Appears LastPass didn't redirect their export instructions and just let it 404. If necessary, here is the new location: https://lastpass.com/support.php?cmd=showfaq&id=1206

This feature request has been open for 1.5 years now... any progress updates?

@Daktyl198 - it is my top priority new feature now that iOS has been released.

@devgeeks let me know if you need a hand I am happy to help out as this is my blocker to adoption currently (AKA my dislike for re-keying MANY entries)

@MauriceButler We'd absolutely love assistance with this. Please feel free to help out!

I have rebased the issue-104-import-export-csv branch with master and all seems well. @devgeeks just checking if you have started anything with this yet?

If not I am thinking the best approach might be as I am not familiar with the code base or Crypton that I work on parsing the exported data from the popular managers into some common format, and you work on the actual bulk import stuff?

Let me know what you think / where you are up to and I will go from there.

+1 cant migrate until I can move all my info from lastpass, I know how to export to csv, but I need for encryptr to have a way to import it. or instructions.

import/export still hugely needed

I see this is labeled "ready" but not closed? Is this slated for a release soon? I have about two hundred accounts in KeePass.

This issue is still very much open... what was closed was #186 because it was a duplicate.

In this case as well, the "Ready" label is probably misleading... Ready in this case means "out of the Backlog and ready to be worked on but not yet in progress".

It kind of actually IS in progress but only in an R&D investigatory stage at this point.

I realise this is a very important feature, but import will be tricky and needs to be done carefully.

Does it? Yes, preferably this would work flawlessly, but I don't have to throw away my KeePass database. I would at this stage prefer something that works sometimes (which would be a correctable nuicanse) over something that doesn't work at all (which is a showstopper for me).

Is the database format for encryptr documented? I could just take a stab at an offline migration utility.

mmmm... you guys dont macro? I wrote a pyAuto to do a "scrape" into csv...

It's more that with such (to me) fairly obvious stuff missing says (to me) that it's not ready for use.

What is the status of import/export? Looking to import into encryptr. What is the required file type? Fields supported etc...? If not being worked is it located here so the community can help?

By far, I would think this would be the #1 preventer of mass adoption of this app. Anyone even looking for an app like this is going to agree 100% with this thread. No one wants to re-enter 200-500 passwords by hand. Please make this top priority.
