Whether or not a tool is in MultiQC has weighed heavily in my decision to use them and even though I want to use khmer I've found myself using KAT because the figures are already supported in MultiQC. While I can certainly write a few modules myself, I'm letting you know this tool is out there and it's a good way to get exposure :)

This is an excellent point. I have also considering switching tools when my preferred option wasn’t integrated with MultiQC. This would be god exposure for khmer, in my opinion.

I've been using MultiQC to aggregate sample reports from bioinformatics tools like FastQC, AdapterRemoval, and KAT to make a single webpage that shows the status of the experiment. Here is an example with a tick genome project.
