Trying to change permissions to a page (permission-settings/) the app takes a very long time to render the page (in heroku it always times out for me so permissions have become unusable in my production)

My site has about 50K users and newrelic shows 112,000 calls to
Render/django/forms/widgets/select_option.html
and
Render/django/forms/widgets/attrs.html

enabling template caching has not worked for me.

Environment

  • Python version: 3.6.8
  • Django version: 1.11.23
  • django CMS version: 3.5.3, 3.6.0, 3.7.0
