This updates
configure.ac. It's time to add thesubdir-objectsoption as mentioned in the TODO.This has been tested on CentOS-7, where
autoreconf, using automake-1.13 still works. On automake-1.14 and later, we get repeated warnings that this will fail in automake-2.0 withoutsubdir-objects. The warnings go away with this fix.I also added a comment in
configure.acabout usingmake -k' to overcome transient 'make' errors like:Makefile:804: ../jalib/.deps/jalib.Po: No such file or directory`
