Unlisted dependencies

• discord.js this is the core API of Discord for Javascript/TS.
• ytdl-core a Javascript/TS libary for youtube fetching audio/video.
• typescript enables types for Javascript and uses a compiler for execution

Installation

• Install node latest stable release, this was built with node v14.16.1

• For windows run npm install --global --production windows-build-tools

  • Run npm config set python python2.7
  • Run npm install node-gyp -g
  • Run npm install typescript -g
  • Run npm install

• For Linux you can run simply run the installer.sh executable

Configuration

• Get a token string for your bot from by registering your bot here: Discord Developer Portal
  • You should be able to find options to invite your bot to a channel here as well

Running the Application

• Run npm start
