HI all,
Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this. I am trying to analyze the surface of a model of a stone tool with GIS-like processing. The models are made through a Metashape photogrammetry workflow. I would like to be able to see Roughness (Terrain Roughness Index) or the amount the surface changes in relation to its local area as opposed to the entire surface. The goal is to highlight and statistically analyze wear markings on stone tools from around 1700 BCE. I have read a method for doing this in QGIS but that software isn't really optimized for 3D, so Blender seemed like it might be the way to go.
Thanks
The attached screen cap shows an example of what I would like to reproduce. (they don't really give their methodology in the paper)
