Somebody please fork this repo, change its name and submit PRs to all the packages on Melpa that's currently using all-the-icons to [your-new-repo]. I've emailed the author like 10 times, at once he promised to add me as a maintainer but it's been ages since then.

If he was going to add you as a maintainer anyway, why don't you fork it :P

You could name it icons-for-everyone or `all-the-icons-redux- or something like that

Or you can call it such-many-icons to have a slightly outdated meme name. ;)

Because I only have time to maintain an existing project, but not fork, change the name and submit a PR to every project that uses all-the-icons. I could attempt to takeover by submitting a PR to Melpa to point the repo to my fork, but that likely requires a community consensus first. @purcell and @milkypostman is there a process to salvaging a project when the author is MIA?

@wyuenho Please email @domtronn, since he may not be receiving notifications from github.

There are 2 possible outcomes here:

• @domtronn responds and either adds you as a collaborator on the repo or transfers the repo to you (or an organisation)
• If @domtronn doesn't respond, we'd consider the original repo unmaintained, and if someone is willing to maintain a fork (with the same name) then we'll be happy to point the MELPA recipe at it instead

Forking with a different name should not be necessary. We'll allow 2 weeks from when you email him.

@purcell I just sent @domtronn an email notifying that I'm initiating this process. If he doesn't respond in 2 weeks, I'll open a PR on Melpa to point this project to my fork.
