Issues:

  1. "Deprecated" is used as a synonym for "Obsolete" needlessly
  2. Lower case is used - as if it was a language keyword

Suggested resolution: it should be consistent and say "[Obsolete]".

This has been the case since VS2003, and hasn't been an issue so far. I don't think we would do work to fix this, but we could consider a pull request that changed it.

Based on discussion in #984, we think this should not be fixed on it's own.
