This is looking really good! I had a couple of questions around the source-built SDK flow.

I had one additional comment. Otherwise, this seems to capture what we've been discussing for source-build for 5.0.
Adds an overview of the plan and why it's necessary as a directory README, along with appendices that go into more detail about various parts of the plan.

@dseefeld did some initial review at dagood#8 (thanks!), I'm opening it up a bit more broadly now here.
@mmitche, @directhex, could you take a look? This is the same topic as a few of our latest source-build planning meetings, would appreciate your perspectives.
